This quilt pattern is made by Satomi Hoar of Satomi Quilts.
The MILKY WAY quilt is traditionally pieced and is recommended for advanced beginner quilters and up. The pattern includes step by step instructions with many diagrams for four sizes: a small throw (48” x 64”), two large throws (64” x 64” & 64” x 80”) and a bed (96” x 96”).
My inspiration for this pattern came from the beautiful Milky Way in the night sky. I thought it would be fun to create a design using a variety of colors. These vibrant colors really stand out against the dark background. Additionally, this pattern includes a scrappy background version, offering another exciting way to enjoy the process of making it!
